The Russian office of the French carmaker Citroen has come up with an initiative to sell its models in the Russian Federation online. The Russian office of the French carmaker Citroen has taken the initiative to sell its models online in the Russian Federation.

Today in Russia online you can buy everything from food to clothing and household appliances, and after a while it will be possible to buy cars. It was with such an initiative that the Russian representative office of the French carmaker Citroen came forward, which in this way plans to significantly increase the sales of their models in Russia.

According to the announced information, online car sales are gaining rapid popularity in the world. In China alone, car companies managed to sell about 1 million vehicles in this way last year. This year, analysts expect an increase in performance by at least 2-3 times, and this despite the very difficult economic situation in the Chinese market. However, Citroen representatives will not be the first in this regard in the Russian market, as they were outstripped by the Chinese automaker Lifan, which provided an opportunity make a car purchase online in the fall of last year.

Unfortunately, so far there is no exact information on the number of cars sold by Lifan via the Internet, but given the interest of Citroen representatives, the numbers should be interesting, since the French are not in the best financial position to invest in unpromising areas of development and growth.
