The official representative office of Mitsubishi in Ukraine announced the start of sales of the new generation Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. In the automotive market of Ukraine, the buyer will be offered three different configurations. Under the hood there will be one of two engines with a volume of 1.5 liters or 2.0 liters. For the first time, the new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross was presented in October 2020. The main changes were made to the radiator grill, where a diamond-shaped pattern appeared instead of a mesh insert. The front bumper now seems more massive, as the designers have made it according to the DS (Dynamic Shield) corporate identity.
A lot more changes have been made to the rear of the new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. The stern was stripped of the LED strip that previously connected the hind feet. The feet themselves turned out to be larger in size, in the same way as the trunk lid itself. Following the appearance, a lot of improvements were made to the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross interior. For Ukraine, the interior of the crossover will be offered in a combined upholstery (artificial leather and suede). If this is not enough, then for the top versions they will offer an all-leather interior upholstery.
The interior of the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross will be black as standard, but a light gray version of the seat upholstery will be offered for an additional fee. The dashboard now features a new 8 ″ display for the multimedia system, and will be based on the Mitsubishi Connect 2.0 control system. A big plus will be the standard availability of the ability to synchronize with gadgets and the output of information from the smartphone display to the multimedia display. The display itself is made in the form of a tablet and for ease of control is slightly inclined towards the front of the car.
The Ukrainian market will offer both all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive modifications of the crossover. At the same time, the AYC system will be installed in any of the trim levels, which is responsible for the distribution of braking force and control of the thrust vector. This is a huge plus for driving and passenger comfort.
The technical characteristics of the new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross are not particularly diverse. Under the hood of the new crossover, a turbocharged petrol engine 4B40 with a volume of 1.5 liters can be installed. The power of the unit is 150 horses, and the maximum torque is 250 Nm. The second version of the engine is already new and, unlike the previous one, it is an atmospheric unit with a volume of 2.0 liters.
In the manufacturer's list, it is under the index 4B11. If you dig into the company's information well, then this engine is not so new, it is well known from other models of the company's cars. The power of this engine is 150 horsepower, and the maximum torque is 198 Nm. Regardless of the engine chosen, both will work in tandem with the CVT.
At the start of sales, the new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross in Ukraine will be offered in 3 trim levels: Intense, Ultimate and Invite. The version of the Invite crossover will receive a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine with torque transmission to the front axle. The basis will be 16 ″ alloy wheels. Among the pleasant buns there will be a color display of the on-board computer on the dashboard, a light and rain sensor, tire pressure and temperature monitoring, cruise control and other equipment. The starting price of such a complete set of Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross starts at UAH 659,000 ($ 23,535).
The same engine and front-wheel drive will be installed on the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Intense. Unlike the previous configuration, in this version of the car, the list of airbags has been increased to 7 pieces, instead of 16 ″ discs, 18 ″ are installed. Front and rear optics are fully LED.
The cabin is also equipped with a multimedia system with an 8 ″ display. On the plus side, it is worth noting a heated windshield, paddle shifters, dual-zone climate control, an electromechanical handbrake and roof rails. The price of this configuration starts at UAH 759,000 ($ 27,107).
The latter, it is also the top-end Ultimate configuration, will cost from 929,000 UAH. ($ 33178). Under the hood of such a crossover Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, a turbocharged engine with a volume of 1.5 liters will be installed. The main difference will be the S-AWC all-wheel drive system. In this version of the crossover, leather interior lining and an electric seat adjustment are supposed. On the plus side, it is possible to note the all-round visibility system, panoramic roof, MPSS audio system, a large list of security systems and a head-up display with the ability to display navigation maps. In the future, they plan to bring other modifications of the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross to the Ukrainian market, but so far there is no reliable information about their technical characteristics.
