Rumors about the appearance of a new mid-size crossover from the Czech auto concern Skoda have excited the minds of brand fans for several years, and in September 2016, the company's management officially presented its new product - the Kodiaq model. The car got its name in honor of one of the types of brown bears that live on the coast of the island of the same name in southern Alaska.
The crossover's world debut came at the Paris Motor Show, held in October of the same year.
The external appearance of the car almost completely repeats the solutions of the concept version of the Skoda Vision S, and this is great, since the concept version was to the liking of the world community. The appearance of the new Skoda Kodiaq echoes the appearance of other models of the company, in particular the new Skoda Rapid and Octavia. This is especially noticeable in the design of the front of the car, where there are narrow lighting equipment, a wide false radiator grille with vertical ribs, as well as a massive front bumper, which gives the appearance of the crossover aggressiveness and power.
The profile of the car attracts the eye with swollen wheel arches of almost square shape, stylish embossings along the body and a slightly sloping roofline, due to which the crossover looks elegant and dynamic.
The massive stern has received a large tailgate, an original, almost triangular rear optics and a monumental rear bumper. All this will not allow the car to get lost in the city traffic.

The interior design of the car looks modern and attractive, but it is noticeably inferior in originality to the external design of the body. Such a motor is offered exclusively with a 7-speed DSG gearbox and all-wheel drive, which allows the car to change the first hundred in 7.8 seconds, and also develop a maximum 206 km / h. The total mass of the car, depending on the version, can be 1.45-1.62 tons, while the crossover can easily tow a trailer weighing up to 2.5 tons.
