The new hybrid supercar Lamborghini Sian has been officially presented to the public. He became the most powerful production model of the brand, thereby leaping over the competitors. On the eve of the start of the Frankfurt Motor Show, Lamborghini held a virtual demonstration of the first Sian hybrid supercar in the brand's model lineup. Translated into Russian, the name of the model means "lightning". According to car enthusiasts, the characteristics of the new item fully reflect its name.

As many expected, the Terzo Millennio concept, previously shown in 2017, became the basis for the new supercar. The designers only modified certain details of the production model Lamborghini Sayen, thereby embodying the previously presented model. Under the hood of the new hybrid supercar, the power plant is based on a 6.5-liter V12 petrol engine taken from the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ. They added a 34-horsepower electric motor powered by a 48-volt on-board electrical system, making the Lamborghini Sian a total of 819 horsepower with 785 horsepower. accounted for by the internal combustion engine (power increased by 15 horses in comparison with the Aventador SVJ). Thanks to this refinement, the hybrid became the most powerful among all the company's production models. Paired with the power plant is a 7-speed adaptive automatic transmission, as well as an electronically controlled all-wheel drive system. The engineers installed a limited-slip differential on the rear axle.

According to the manufacturer, the first hundred on the speedometer Lamborghini Sian will be able to overcome in 2.8 seconds. The manufacturer limited the maximum speed at around 350 km / h due to software. In comparison with the same Aventador SVJ, the new hybrid turned out to be more flexible, it is ahead in acceleration from 30 to 60 km / h by 0.2 seconds, and in the range from 70 to 120 km / h by as much as 1.2 seconds.

Not without some tricks, it's not a secret for anyone that lithium-ion batteries are weighty and for a supercar this is extra weight on board. That is why large capacitors were installed instead of batteries. The manufacturer's representatives claim that such capacitors are capable of charging and discharging much faster, which is facilitated by a modified recuperation system.

Another interesting nuance of Lamborghini Sayen, which many motorists have figured out, is the number 63 on the back of the supercar. Many have assumed that this is the number of years since the company was founded, and in fact it is. Still, there is a second meaning, as it turned out, this is the number of models that the manufacturer will release for sale (in another way, circulation). The base price of the new Lamborghini Sayen starts at $ 3.6 million.
