The legendary company Subaru announced its first development of the Subaru Viziv electric car, which is still a concept. According to preliminary data from Subaru representatives, it will be possible to officially buy an electric car in the middle of this decade, rather in 2024. It is by this year, according to unspoken data, that the manufacturer plans to modify the electric car and test it in different climatic conditions.

The new Subaru Viziv will be a mid-size crossover that will be similar in size to the modern Subaru Forester. The basis for the new Subaru electric car will serve as a completely new platform, which is now being developed in conjunction with Toyota Motors. The official presentation of the new Subaru Viziv is promised to be held in the first half of the 2020s and 100% of the electric car will be sold in Europe.

According to representatives of the company, and many experts, it is Subaru Viziv that will lay the second stage in the creation of electric cars in Europe. Recall that as of December 2020, there are three models in the company's list, under the hood of which a "moderate hybrid e-BOXER" is installed. More precisely, these are Forester, Impreza and XV. According to various sources, these models in Europe account for 60% of sales of all Subaru models.

If you believe the plans of the Subaru company, then by 2030, about 40% of their production models will become fully hybrid or electric. It is possible that the electrification of the line will be completed by the end of the 10th anniversary. As a reminder, the main goal of the company is to reduce CO2 emissions by 90%. According to various calculations, Subaru will reach such an indicator due to electrification until 2050.
